Mom and dad have come over and cleaned out the space for the laundry room since I am on bed/couch rest. The walls are the same blue as the new upstairs bath. In this picture dad is spreading some leveling compound before placing the Gladiator garage tiles on the floor. Here is a view under the stairs. Mom painted all under the stairs and even laid tile under the stairs as well. This is a good spot to store our folding chairs and tables. We had to buy a new dryer because the old one is gas and we did not want to have to move the gas line. So we bought this "new" Whirlpool Duet dryer. The delivery guys had a little difficulty getting it down the stairs. I just love the flooring. And all of it is reused from old jobs which is a bonus. Free for us and it doesn't go into a landfill!!! I think Nicole Curtis would be proud! We will be putting in a door as well. This is the opening. It is going to be a little tricky because it is on an angle and it is a salvage door. We really need to have the laundry blocked off so the cats can't get in there. One of them tends to pee inappropriately. However, since I have been pregnant and my husband has to scoop the litter there have not been any incidents. Maybe his new job??? Ha ha, right.

This blog started as me just writing about the rehabbing of my home. However, life changed dramatically in the last year so I have changed the topic to dealing with these trials and tribulations instead. Hopefully I will beat this cancer and then get back to my life as a mom, wife and teacher. Archives
